Follow up with cardio doc

 Good Tuesday morning 03.18.25 yall!

:)

So...I hope you're not feeling too rough from your St. Patrick's Day festivities!

March 17 comes with mixed signals emotions around here as it's my mother's birthday. She's moved on some time ago now but every St. Patrick's day I feel a little closer to her and miss her more at the same time.

So...my 1st appointment with my new cardio doc since the heart attacks 2 weeks ago today, is at 9 this morning.

I've got my list of questions and am looking forward to him laying out how much I'm allowed to do as far as exercise, walking  (maybe even light jogging for the first time in so many years), deep breathing etc is concerned.

I gotta tell yall....I feel like a different person.  Apparently some of the awful, consistent and ever present pain and spikes and visits from the "screwdriver man" were because of the condition of my arteries.  2 of them were 95-99% blocked.

You gotta know that these last couple years have been especially challenging.  Barely able to get in 200 or 300 steps, very little helpful exercise and aerobic routines and not even able to sit at the piano, plus  getting "spiked"...like awful muscle spasms...has been the theme of the day.

I just wasn't getting better. And I've been telling every doctor I could that I believed something systemic was wrong...and turns out I was right.  But despite that and a clear ekg just 8 months ago, noone thought it had anything to do with my heart or arteries.  What cha honna do right?

But yall...after getting these stints put in I'm a new man.  Who knew a little extra bloodflow would make a noticeable  difference with my chronic pain!?

My research and my new primary care doctor's opinion is that this reprieve from the agonizing pain has to do with much increased bloodflow that's allowing my medicine to work better and make me feel better overall.

It really is something.

I'm up to 2500 steps a day and 30 minutes stretching and deep breathing plus 15 minutes calisthenics (CALISTHENICS YALL!) and am about to get permission to take that up a few notches when I see my new cardio doc who did the emergency surgery to put the stints in this morning in a couple hours.

Never give up on the power of prayer and the combined good thoughts of the people in your life to make a positive difference yall....your prayers, your thoughts, and your love helped me get better at a time when I seriously wondered if that was even possible.

Thank you. See you soon from behind a piano!!!

Much love!

 ❤️
