THE SUPREME COURT

Image
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) Hey yall,   What with all the news about the Supreme Court of the United States  (SCOTUS) overseeing the Judicial branch of our democratic republic as a co-equal branch with the Executive branch, that the president oversees,  I thought that some research into the court and its current panel of justices led by Chief Justice Roberts, might be helpful.    I hope this helps clarify the court and its relationship to the other branches as current events center around the subject. Follow up with cardio doc

Image
Good Tuesday morning 03.18.25 yall! :) So...I hope you're not feeling too rough from your St. Patrick's Day festivities!   March 17 comes with mixed signals emotions around here as it's my mother's birthday. She's moved on some time ago now but every St. Patrick's day I feel a little closer to her and miss her more at the same time.  So...my 1st appointment with my new cardio doc since the heart attacks 2 weeks ago today, is at 9 this morning. You gotta know that these last couple ye...

Applying the tools of trade policy to complex issues like immigration and drug enforcement is not merely novel but also suboptimal. Trade tariffs are blunt weapons poorly suited to such delicate problems, and the strategy risks muddling distinct fields of policy and having perverse outcomes. Economic Self-Harm: Imposing tariffs on close friends disrupts existing supply chains and imposes costs on American consumers and businesses. For instance, the 25% tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum not only strains diplomatic relations but also increases the cost of production in U.S. industri...
